Newcombes Holdings Makes Top 20 Queensland Business List |

The ‘Q Top 400’ released last month has listed local business Newcombes Holdings as 14th out of the top 400 listed privately owned companies in Queensland.
The list is compiled from completed surveys asking for details such as length of time in operation, number of staff, and turnover, and from data known to the analysts.
Newcombes Holdings controls well known business entities such as Village Motors, Brisbane Isuzu and Peninsula Auto Zone.
Director Marlene Newcombe said the result was a pleasant surprise, given that the company was ranked 19th last year.
“This result is testament to the great team we have on board, our loyal customers and our management team,” Mrs Newcombe said.
“This year we’re hoping to do even better. We’re introducing a number of business measures to improve customer service, make better use of our group purchasing power, and improve staff retention, which we hope will pay off in the short and long term.”
Newcombes Holdings operates three main businesses over seven different sites, in the automotive industry. The company employs about 300 people across south-east Queensland.
