- provide over-the-phone trauma assistance to the driver until help arrives.
- relay urgent messages to loved ones, suppliers etc.
- arrange to transport the driver back to base†.
- authorise an NTI Heavy Motor Recovery Operator to recover the vehicle using the latest techniques and equipment to prevent further damage.
- ensure the load recovery cost is fair.
- oversee clean-up of the accident scene†.
- lodge the claim automatically (in most cases, no claim form is required).
- arrange post-trauma counselling for the driver if required.
Within four business hours of lodging a claim, you’ll be assigned a personal Customer Claims Consultant who will keep you fully informed of its progress.

You’ll also be assigned an NTI Repair Manager who will manage the repair process, ensure that quality genuine parts are used, and keep you fully informed. NTI Repair Managers are fully conversant with towing and recovery legislation, and can assist with reviewing and negotiating recovery fees.
They also work closely with NTI Parts Coordinators who focus on sourcing quality genuine parts to maintain the integrity of your vehicle, particularly with regard to safety attributes.
They’ll ensure that parts are quickly supplied to reduce downtime and that costs are reduced, leading to more competitive premiums.
